On Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 June, the XXIII WORKING CONFERENCE ON HEALTHCARE QUALITY and the XXI CONGRESS OF THE ARAGONESE SOCIETY FOR HEALTHCARE QUALITY took place in Zaragoza. The event was organized by the Aragonese Health Service (SALUD), the Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences (IACS), the Aragonese Society for Healthcare Quality (SACA), the Spanish Foundation for Healthcare Quality (FECA), and the Government of Aragon. These conferences are aimed at professionals interested in the healthcare quality projects being developed or promoted in the SALUD centers and hospitals throughout the region.

The event featured a variety of panels, talks, and symposia addressing topics such as clinical safety, artificial intelligence, environmental sustainability, and the application of One Health, among others.

Barbastro Hospital presented four healthcare quality projects in the communication panels organized throughout the event

ROSIA - Remote Rehabilitation in Isolated Areas. Usability and Feasibility Piloting of the Ecosystem in Real-World Settings

This project showcased Barbastro Hospital's collaboration in a Horizon 2020 initiative testing two telerehabilitation platforms for patients in rural areas. The goal is to assess acceptance, cost-effectiveness, usability, and feasibility, analyzing the experiences of patients and professionals in real-life contexts.

ACAP Project - Interim Evaluation of the Connected Support Project in Community Care

A collaboration with the Aragonese Institute of Social Services (IASS) within the framework of the Connected Support for Personal Autonomy (ACAP) project, aimed at delaying the institutionalization of elderly, dependent, or disabled individuals.

HENKO NET Project - Innovation and Digital Technologies for Social and Healthcare Palliative Care at Home

A project designed to develop a strategy and action plan to foster an innovative mindset among professionals, advanced training, the exchange of best practices in new care models, and the adoption of effective digital technologies in palliative care.

Cooperative Working Methodology in Primary Care Centers Within the Same Healthcare Sector

Implementation of cooperative work strategies to ensure the fulfillment of strategic sessions for the Clinical Management Agreement across all Primary Care Teams (EAP), with the aim of reducing duplication in the creation of training materials and promoting collaboration among professionals.
