Barbastro, December 10th, 2025. On 1st and 2nd December, the Hospital of Barbastro hosted the members of the SAURG project for the 5th consortium meeting. In this meeting participated members of the consortium - CHU Toulouse, Navarrabiomed, SEM, Centre Hospitalier de la Côte Basque and the Aragonese Health Service- as well as representatives from the Aragon Emergency Services 061.
During these two days, the members shared updates on the project, highlighting the most significant advances and outlining the next steps. One of the project's achievements is the creation of a map of emergency resources and an agreement to facilitate the cooperation between regional governments to provide the fastest emergency assistance in cross-border areas.
During the event, the hospital director and members of the medical management team welcomed the meeting participants and evaluated the benefits of the project for the Barbastro area.
SAURG Project
The SA-URG project is a continuation of the EGALURG project and seeks to improve health care in emergencies and disasters through cooperation between border regions and capacity building for emergency management and health care in the cross-border territory.
