Main Goal:

The main goal of the project's activities is to make care and medical services more accessible and effective especially for those people who need special support.

Program: Interreg Europe – SOCIAL Healthcare

Code: 01C0007

Description:

CARES (Remote Health for Silver Europe) is an interregional project under the Interreg Europe program, involving 8 regions of the European Union. The main focus of the project is telecare and telemedicine, which involves remote monitoring of health and life functions, primarily aimed at the elderly, the ill, and individuals with limitations who often have limited access to doctors, quick diagnostics, or medical consultations.

Telecare cannot replace the presence of a caregiver, but it significantly enhances the quality of life for older or dependent individuals, helping to build their sense of security and independence.

More specifically the aim is to improve local and regional policies responsible for modernizing system implementation with innovative telecare and telehealth solutions by amending or improving them, towards the implementation of systemic solutions based on modern telemedicine solutions available on the market.

Via the transfer of know-how, the joint development of solutions and their implementation at a local level in 3 thematic areas:

  1. Increasing the availability of tele-care and tele-medicine services for elderly, dependent people, including those with limitations (from peripheral and hard-to-reach areas).
  2. Widespread use of innovative digital tools (ICT), enabling effective monitoring and medical diagnosis of the elderly.
  3. Increased institutional capacity and educated medical staff for new and improved care and medical services.
